About The Position

This position will support a number of complicated legal and regulatory matters that may arise in Greater China regions, including commercial, R&D, marketing and other corporate legal matters. This position will have the opportunity to work closely with different business teams, corporate functions and management.

Requirements

• Law degree in China and China qualification
• 4 - 8 years PQE
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Solid legal knowledge and lawyering skill
• Ability and commitment to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, with a willingness to learn
• Self-motivated and project ownership with excellent time management skills

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in a major international law firm, a top Chinese law firm or a MNC
• Overseas education and qualification
• Prior experience in TMT sectors, AI and emerging technology
• Broad knowledge of multiple legal fields and ability to adapt to new practice area
• Strong client relation skills and experience working directly with management
• Sound business judgement, flexibility/adaptability to handle multiple wide-ranging matters and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial and other transactions.
• Handle product related R&D matters and provide legal advice on local regulatory requirements.
• Review advertisement and promotion materials.
• Work on various regulatory issues and regulator engagement in Greater China regions.
• Work closely with US legal teams on local law issues and provide legal advice to different corporate functions.
