As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our legal team in New York. This is a commercially focused, in-house role where you will act as a key legal partner to the business, supporting project delivery teams and advising on complex contractual and risk-related matters. You will play a critical role in negotiating and structuring project agreements, managing legal risk, and enabling the successful delivery of construction and design & build projects across the U.S. This position offers strong exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence decision-making in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Requirements

Qualified Attorney with admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility)
Experience in construction, design & build, real estate, or complex commercial contracts
Strong contract drafting and negotiation experience, particularly within project-based environments
Commercially minded with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Ability to work closely with non-legal stakeholders in a fast-paced, delivery-focused business

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a range of project contracts, including design & build, construction, and consultancy agreements
Provide legal advice on contract strategy, risk allocation, and commercial terms across projects
Partner closely with project delivery and commercial teams to support project execution
Advise on dispute avoidance and resolution, including claims and contractual matters
Support the business across construction, real estate, and broader commercial legal matters
Develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal processes
Proactively identify and manage legal and commercial risk across the project lifecycle
