About The Position

UWorld Legal / Themis Bar Review is seeking a sharp, curious lawyer to create content across their legal portfolio, including Bar exam and MPRE prep, law school study resources, and future products. The role involves contributing to product planning, development, launch, and improvement, working collaboratively with a team of attorneys, editors, illustrators, and tech professionals. The position offers an opportunity to teach the law and make a significant impact on students' learning experiences.

Requirements

  • J.D. from a highly regarded law school.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney, legal writer, or legal educator.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar.
  • A sharp eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality exam questions, explanations, or other instructional legal content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort picking up new tools.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Dallas, Texas.

Nice To Haves

  • Top 25% of graduating class.
  • A Bar exam score worth bragging about (MBE above 160 preferred).
  • 2+ years in legal education, academic support, or instructional design.
  • Journal or law review experience.
  • Experience across multiple areas of law or multiple legal exams.

Responsibilities

  • Write practice questions with clear explanations that encourage critical thinking.
  • Create educational materials for law students, Bar and MPRE candidates, and other legal offerings.
  • Stay updated on legal changes, testing formats, and licensing requirements, including the NextGen Bar exam.
  • Collaborate with illustrators to develop visuals that simplify complex legal concepts.
  • Contribute to the development of new products and features, utilizing student data to enhance content.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on colleagues' work to maintain high standards.
