About The Position

UWorld is seeking an Internal Medicine physician to join their team of physicians, editors, and medical illustrators. The role involves creating high-quality content for medical education products, including Question Banks for USMLE®, Internal Medicine (ABIM®), and Family Medicine (ABFM), as well as new products. This position offers a unique blend of clinical practice and medical education, allowing the physician to impact future physicians while maintaining clinical sharpness and achieving a desirable work-life balance. The role is based in Irving, Texas, with a schedule typically combining 25-40% clinical work and 60-75% nonclinical work at UWorld.

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible MD or DO in Internal Medicine
High scores on USMLE® Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3
Strong communication skills
Genuine passion for educating future physicians

Responsibilities

Write original clinical vignettes and comprehensive explanations for Question Banks, aligned with exam blueprints.
Review and revise fellow authors' work, providing feedback on accuracy, clarity, and educational value.
Collaborate with the medical illustration team to create images highlighting internal medicine concepts.
Work with cross-functional teams (physicians, editors, illustrators, IT, customer support) to produce content and improve processes.
Manage time effectively across multiple projects.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture.
Take on additional projects supporting UWorld's mission in medical education.
