About The Position

Serve as the company's primary resource for legal affairs, litigation support, bankruptcy administration, asset recovery, and portfolio protection. Help safeguard company assets, mitigate risk, maximize recovery efforts, and support sound business decision-making across the organization. Ensure appropriate coordination with outside and in-house counsel as well as vendors. Provide timely guidance, analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations regarding legal matters, collections litigation, bankruptcies, compliance concerns, and recovery strategies. All in coordination with CHB COO.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in collections, legal administration, bankruptcy processing, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Manage bankruptcy cases, replevin actions, litigation support activities, and legal recovery efforts.
  • Coordinate with counsel and monitor legal vendor performance, responsiveness, and spending.
  • Track and report legal matters, recovery outcomes, and case status to executive leadership.
  • Support compliance initiatives, policy reviews, audits, and internal control activities.
  • Protect company interests through judgment collection, asset recovery, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Maintain legal matter tracking systems and documentation.
  • Provide recommendations regarding legal risks, portfolio protection strategies, and governance matters.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service in all interactions with clients and co-workers.
  • Assist departments with legal research and documentation requests.
  • Support policy, procedure, and governance enhancements.
  • Participate in special projects related to legal risk management and collections recovery.
  • Provide backup support for related administrative functions when needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
