About The Position

LOGS Legal Group LLP has an exciting new remote opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our team! This position provides exceptional work to the financial institutions we represent in a wide variety of creditor rights’ matters. This position is required to take and apply direction from various internal and external parties. A Legal Assistant will produce work product that reflects both the quantity and quality expected for their specific assigned tasks and do so with a high degree of accuracy. The Legal Assistant contributes value to the operations team by working to complete all duties thoroughly, accurately, and timely. This role also ensures compliance with laws, regulations, client requirements, court rules and best practices; collectively working to provide quality legal services to our clients.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a technology driven environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010, Windows XP, and Windows 7 in a domain environment.
  • Intermediate/advanced familiarity with Word & Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously, but also know when to seek assistance/guidance.
  • Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work as part of a team in deadline driven situations.
  • A comfort level working with changing technology and software.
  • Handle strict deadlines and the pressures of working with others on complicated deliverables.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
  • Ability to remain focused for extended periods.
  • Ability to work on computers for a significant portion of the day.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements as required for positions (Typing, clicking, swiveling).
  • Ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SQL programming a plus
  • Working knowledge of CMS & other LOGS Technology a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Request Military and Pacer status through case management system tools
  • Review searches to ensure successful requests
  • Obtain missing information and update any missing information on failed searches
  • Manually upload any search results required
  • Review search results for any active bankruptcy findings or military status findings and escalate accordingly
  • Run upload tool
  • Review client systems for any Bankruptcy or SCRA steps for completion or re-projection that were not completed with the SCRA tool
  • Check the integration failure reports for any document or milestone failures and correct the mappings if necessary or escalate for completion
  • Map documents to upload from case management system to the client systems
  • Update client and investor systems with current file status
  • Ensure SCRA/PACER queries are set up to be conducted according to each client requirement
