About The Position

We are seeking a Legal Administrator who performs administrative and clerical duties for the legal department. Reviews, processes and responds to requests for patient files, coordinating with applicable patient care center(s). Acts as an information source for legal matters and questions arising from business units. Screens calls and takes messages. Schedules appointments. Assists in establishing, reviewing and updating policies and procedures for legal department, and assists in coordination of special projects and department activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or an equivalency certificate required.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Requires analytical skills necessary to resolve problems that require the use of basic administrative principles.
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact well with other staff members, field associates, businesses and outside legal counsel.
  • Good organizational skills with an ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to handle confidential information as appropriate.
  • Ability to use all necessary office equipment, copiers, etc.
  • Required to have good working knowledge in Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Type, word process and format correspondence, memorandums and reports.
  • Receive and screen incoming calls from business units, answer questions, research and resolve problems and direct calls to appropriate person.
  • Create, organize and maintain files and records that may be confidential in nature.
  • Coordinate and organize meetings.
  • Receive and greet office visitors.
  • Handle requests and/or assignments that require knowledge of the department’s policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with both internal and external individuals.
  • Coordinate with field operations to obtain information.
  • May be required to travel between buildings or to off-site meetings on occasion.
  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
