  • Ability to identify component polarity, orientation, solder quality, damaged pads, and basic PCB faults
  • Ability to distinguish small differences in pixel color, brightness, alignment, and performance
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistent repair quality in a fast-paced environment
  • Good computer, organization, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong sense of urgency
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of electronics repair, surface-mount soldering, PCB rework, or similar bench repair experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Direct LED pixel replacement experience and familiarity with ROE Visual or other professional LED products preferred
  • Experience in professional audio/visual equipment, live events, staging, broadcast, or rental operations preferred
  • IPC soldering certification or equivalent technical training is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision soldering and rework using microscopes, hot air stations, soldering irons, preheaters, and specialized tools
  • Repair damaged solder pads, traces, connectors, and minor PCB damage when a reliable repair is possible
  • Verify pixel polarity, orientation, alignment, solder quality, color, brightness, and reliable operation
  • Clean and test completed repairs using approved LED test equipment and test patterns
  • Document defects, repairs performed, parts used, module information, and final test results
  • Prioritize urgent repairs to support upcoming shows and close equipment turnaround schedules
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and ESD-safe work area and report recurring failures or parts shortages
  • Perform other related electronics repair duties as assigned by the supervisor
