About The Position
The University of Florida’s School of Theatre and Dance within the UF College of Arts is seeking a full-time Lecturer. The position’s duties and responsibilities include teaching, research, and service. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses related to stage management, production practice in stage and theater management, and introduction to live entertainment. The Lecturer will also serve as Production Stage Manager, leading audition processes, overseeing technical rehearsals, and supervising students serving as production assistants.
Requirements
- Master of Fine Arts in Stage Management or a closely related field.
- Candidates must have received the academic degree appropriate to the assignment; equivalent experiences or accomplishments in the field may be substituted.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses related to stage management, production practice in stage and theater management, and introduction to live entertainment.
- Lead audition processes as Production Stage Manager.
- Oversee technical rehearsals.
- Supervise students serving as production assistants.
- Perform research and service duties.
