About The Position

The Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a one-year special faculty lecturer position running from August 1, 2027, through July 31, 2028. The position includes teaching two courses per semester during the 2027–2028 academic year and mentoring postdoctoral fellows in their teaching. Mentoring duties include participating in the postdoctoral teaching orientation program during the weeks before the fall semester begins. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach two courses per semester during the 2027–2028 academic year.
• Mentor postdoctoral fellows in the Department of Mathematical Sciences in their teaching.
• Participate in the postdoctoral teaching orientation program in the weeks before the start of the fall semester.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
