About The Position

The Department of Psychological Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for a non-tenure track position as a Lecturer beginning fall semester, August 16, 2027. The position may be renewed annually contingent on performance, funding, and department need. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in psychology or related discipline at the time of employment begins.
  • Evidence of excellent teaching in undergraduate psychology courses is required.
  • Applicants should attach a cover letter; curriculum vitae; statement of teaching interests; at least three student evaluations; and transcripts. All documents must be combined into a single PDF file.
  • Provide contact information for three professional references.
  • Must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continuing working legally for the proposed term of employment.
  • Excellent communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Teach four in-person courses per semester during the 9-month academic term, contributing significantly to undergraduate education.
  • Courses that may be taught include Introduction to Psychology, Behavioral Neurosience, Psychology of Learning, Cognitive Psychology, and other undergraduate courses based on the candidate’s qualifications and department teaching needs.
