About The Position

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure-track Lecturer in Speech-Language Pathology position. The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and has over 350 undergraduate majors, 50 graduate majors in speech-language pathology, and 40 doctor of audiology students. Presently, the department has 21 full-time faculty positions. (12 PhD, 3 AuD, and 6 Master’s level.) The department offers the following degrees: the Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Science, a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a professional Doctor of Audiology degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences. The department was the 3rd in the nation to be CAA accredited and is accredited in both speech-language pathology and audiology. Requirements

  • Meet ASHA certification standards for clinical instruction
  • Master’s degree at the time employment in speech-language pathology
  • CCC-SLP
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience
  • Clinical supervision experience
  • Potential for Alabama license
  • Meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment
  • Excellent communication skills
