The Department of Health Sciences in the School of Education and Health Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer position in Health Science, beginning in Fall 2027. This is a 9.5-month, full-time faculty appointment with a 24-credit annual teaching load. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the Health Science curriculum. Teaching assignments will be based on departmental needs as well as the candidate’s qualifications and interests and may include courses such as: Introduction to Health Sciences, Community Health, Epidemiology in the Health Sciences, Evidence-Based Practice in Health Sciences, Research Methods in the Health Sciences, Cultural Competency and Health Literacy, Health Systems and Informatics, and Leadership in Healthcare. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will serve as a core faculty member within the Health Science program. Responsibilities include advising and mentoring undergraduate students, recruiting and engaging prospective students, participating in departmental and institutional service, collaborating with faculty on program initiatives, and supporting the continued growth and success of the Health Science program. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, student mentorship, and collaborative engagement within an academic community.
