About The Position
The Department of Public Health at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach PH 180-1: Skills for Success in Public Health. This course provides foundational skills and knowledge for academic and professional success in Public Health. It equips students with essential problem-solving and critical thinking skills required for application in academic and professional settings. It explores discipline-specific core concepts in Public Health, career pathways for the major, and resources available to Public Health majors on campus. Requirements
- Master of Public Health (MPH) or Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH)
- Relevant experience working with college-level students or teaching in an institution of higher learning.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with core faculty and colleagues on an ethnically and culturally diverse campus.
- Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
