About The Position

The Department of Social Work at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer to teach MSW 661- Social Work in Healthcare. The course is a 3-unit class, has one 3-hour class each week of the 15-week semester, and is taught in a hybrid format (half of the courses will be online and the others are in-person at the San Marcos campus). The course covers the roles and responsibilities of social workers as part of an interdisciplinary health care team, culturally competent social work in various care settings, and ethical dilemmas in social work in health care.

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW)
  • Five (5) years of post-MSW related experience
  • Two years of applicable practice experience in health care and/or medical settings
  • LCSW licensure
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the State of California.
