Centerstone's Virtual Clinic is offering a year-long practicum internship opportunity for first-year MSW students who are interested in community mental health and case management. Interns will work 15–20 flexible hours per week and receive regular supervision from an LCSW and a task supervisor. This placement provides hands-on experience working with clients through intakes, assessments, supportive counseling, resource navigation, and case management. Interns may also assist with group and family sessions, community outreach and advocacy projects, and various administrative tasks. Throughout the internship, students will build skills in assessment, intervention, documentation, professionalism, ethics, cultural competence, and working with individuals, families, and groups. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in an MSW program, have strong communication skills, and can commit to the internship for the full academic year. Interns will work with a diverse client population through the Virtual Clinic. All clients have commercial insurance and present with a wide range of mental health concerns, life challenges, and support needs. This provides opportunities to gain experience working with individuals facing issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other behavioral health needs while developing skills in assessment, engagement, case management, and resource coordination.
