About The Position

The Department of Social Work at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer to teach MSW 510- Generalist Practice I: Individuals. The course is a 3-unit class, has one 3-hour class each week of the 15-week semester, and is taught in a hybrid format (half of the courses will be online and the others are in-person at the San Marcos campus). The course is scheduled for Thursdays, from 1:00 to 3:50 p.m. Course Description Addresses generalist social work practice with diverse individuals within a person-in-environment perspective. Emphasizes core social work knowledge, values, and skills within the context of evidence informed engagement, assessment, intervention, and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW)
  • Five (5) years of post-MSW experience
  • Five (5) years of applicable post-MSW full-time practice experience working with individuals in direct practice social work settings
  • LCSW licensure
  • Must be able to work in the State of California.
