About The Position

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Mexico (UNM) is seeking to hire a full-time, Open Rank Lecturer (non-tenure track) starting August 2, 2027. This position requires a Master's degree in mathematics or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of college-level teaching experience by the appointment start date. The Lecturer will be responsible for teaching according to the department's workload policy, which may include a reduced load for course coordination. Requirements

Master’s degree for Lecturer 2 or a PhD for Lecturer 3 in mathematics or a related discipline by appointment date.
3+ years of experience as an instructor at the college level.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with Department faculty and staff.
Provide official certification of successful completion of all degree requirements prior to initial employment.
