About The Position

This is an applicant pool for a Lecturer in Data Science for the Academic Year 2026-2027. The positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funding. Lecturers must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning, as needed. The role involves teaching assigned courses in the data science curriculum, preparing course materials, and working under the supervision of the data science program coordinator. A minimum of one on-campus in-person office hour per week for each course taught is required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Data Science or in an area closely related to the course(s) taught.
  • Proficient in Python or R

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching Data Science, Python, R, Machine Learning, or Statistics courses at the University or Community College level.
  • Industry or research experience related to data science.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in the data science curriculum.
  • Prepare course schedule, syllabus, and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  • Work under the supervision of the data science program coordinator.
  • Maintain minimum of one on-campus in-person office hour per week for each course taught.
