About The Position

This is a temporary, part-time, non-tenure track lecturer position in Computer Science for the Academic Year 2026-2027. Positions are contingent upon course offerings, student enrollment, position clearance, and funding availability. The lecturer must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning as needed. The role involves teaching assigned courses in the Computer Science curriculum, preparing course materials, maintaining office hours, and working under the supervision of the Computer Science Chairperson. A commitment to the principles and philosophy of higher education is essential.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or in a closely related area to the course(s) taught.
  • Must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning, as needed.
  • Commitment to principles of higher education and philosophy are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in the appropriate subject area (i.e. Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer and Information Sciences, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Management of Information Systems).
  • Experience teaching Computer Science courses at the University or Community College level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with effectively with University students.
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in the Computer Science curriculum.
  • Prepare course schedules, syllabi, and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  • Maintain a minimum of one on-campus/in-person office hour per week for each course taught.
  • Work under the supervision of the Computer Science Chairperson.
