About The Position

Louisiana Tech University invites applications for one (1) or more lecturer positions in Chemistry. The main instructional responsibilities for this position will be General Chemistry, with experience teaching Organic or Physical chemistry lectures or labs a plus. The position may include setting up and teaching labs in the candidate’s area of expertise, including maintenance and care of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Requirements

  • An earned doctorate in chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong teaching skills.
  • Commitment to high-quality professional service.

Responsibilities

  • Teach General Chemistry lectures.
  • Potentially teach Organic or Physical chemistry lectures or labs.
  • Set up and teach labs in the candidate’s area of expertise.
  • Perform maintenance and care of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
  • Supervise undergraduate Capstone research students.
  • Actively participate in program and college responsibilities, including service on committees and directing undergraduate research.
