About The Position

The Department of Art, Media, and Design at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers in Art and Visual Culture as well as Digital and Media Arts. This applicant pool is used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool are only valid for the current academic year and will close effective May 31st. To be considered for the next academic year, a new application must be submitted by June 15th.

Requirements

Master’s degree or terminal degree in the area of instruction or equivalent experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the State of California.
Must disclose if a final administrative or judicial decision has determined that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years (this disclosure occurs after meeting minimum qualifications and before an offer of employment).
Must sign a release form authorizing the release of information by current and/or former employers concerning any substantiated allegations of misconduct (for final stage applicants).
Must comply with the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act.
Must successfully complete employment verification, education verification, reference checks, and criminal record checks.

Teach courses in Art and Visual Culture or Digital and Media Arts.
