About The Position

The Full-Time Classroom Special Education Teacher will be responsible for implementing lesson plans for students with developmental disabilities in accordance with NYSED Guidelines. This is a 12-month position, including a 6-week summer session. The hours are 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The salary is commensurate with education and experience, with Bachelors earning $53,000-$57,000 and Masters earning $56,000-$63,000. Requirements

• NYSED certification: Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2 and/or Students with Disabilities 1-6
• Ability to develop and implement differentiated instruction in accordance with NYSED standards
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members
• Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• New graduates with pending certification are welcome to apply
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis highly preferred
• Bi-lingual a plus
