The Ellis Apartments is an upcoming student housing lease-up in Eugene, Oregon, with 682 beds. This is an exciting opportunity with a start date of September 1st, 2026, to begin pre-leasing for building completion in Summer 2027. The Leasing Manager will be responsible for advertising and promoting the property, utilizing industry-specific software for lead management, monitoring and managing all leasing leads, follow-ups, tours, applications, and lease activity to ensure timely conversion. This role also involves providing tours, completing the full cycle lease process, ensuring compliance with renter’s insurance, monitoring leasing activity and performance of the leasing team to maintain occupancy, and monitoring rental rates, concessions, availability, and leasing activity. The Leasing Manager will assist with the development and execution of leasing and marketing strategies, monitor and report on leasing team performance, ensure timely follow-up with prospective residents, assist with renewal outreach and retention efforts, and assist with managing delinquency and collection efforts. Additionally, the role involves ensuring accurate and timely completion of digital leasing files, applications, leases, and related documentation, assisting with maintaining compliance with company policies, Fair Housing requirements, and applicable landlord/tenant statutes, and assisting with coordinating and executing resident events and property marketing initiatives. The Leasing Manager will identify opportunities to improve leasing processes, customer experience, and overall property performance. The role also includes engaging with prospective and current tenants professionally and courteously, responding to and resolving unforeseen issues or emergencies, reducing tenant turnover by identifying tenant relation issues, mediating between parties, and recommending solutions, completing quality assurance calls, and facilitating and overseeing resident events. Furthermore, the Leasing Manager will guide the performance of all leasing staff through clear instruction, training, coaching, and performance management, lead by example, train new leasing staff, conduct regular one-on-one coaching and performance check-ins, monitor individual leasing performance, hold the leasing team accountable, conduct regular leasing team meetings, assist with establishing and communicating leasing goals and incentives, support the leasing team in overcoming objections, closing leases, and converting prospective residents, and foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team environment.
