About The Position

The Leasing Consultant position at The Ellis, an upcoming student housing lease-up in Eugene, Oregon, is a full-time role focused on pre-leasing for building completion in Summer 2027. The role involves advertising and promoting the property, managing leads, conducting tours, completing the lease process, ensuring rent collection, and facilitating resident events. The position requires a professional and courteous approach to engaging with prospective and current tenants, and escalating tenant relation issues to the Property Manager. The role also includes administrative duties such as complying with Fair Housing and landlord/tenant statutes, and attending training.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of customer service and sales experience
• Reliable transportation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Demonstrates teamwork, good hygiene, ethical behavior and integrity, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to multi-task, resolve conflicts, and ambition for continuous professional development

Responsibilities

• Advertise and promote the property
• Utilize industry specific software for lead management
• Provide tours to prospective and current residents
• Complete full cycle lease process with prospective residents
• Ensure compliance with renter’s insurance
• Maintain resident occupancy of 95%
• Ensure the timely collection of rent and other ancillary revenue
• Engage with your prospective and current tenants using a professional and courteous approach
• Escalate tenant relation issues to Property Manager
• Facilitate resident events
• Comply with all Fair Housing and Equal Housing Opportunities requirements
• Comply with appropriate state landlord/tenant statutes
• Attend training and development seminars
• Other duties as assigned by Property Manager
