Leasing Consultant - Villas de la Terraza - Albuquerque, NM
About The Position
Villas de la Terraza is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Leasing Consultant to create exceptional experiences for prospective and current residents and support the success of the property. The consultant serves as a welcoming point of contact for the community, assists prospective residents throughout the leasing process, supports resident retention, and helps maintain the property's standards and occupancy goals. This role requires on-site work as scheduled. Property assignments, work location, schedule, and hours may be changed or reassigned based on business needs, operational requirements, or owner/client requests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport, overcome objections, and effectively close leases.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Basic math and financial comprehension skills.
- Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in leasing or a related field.
- College degree.
- Experience with Yardi, ResMan, On-Site, or other property management software.
- Bilingual skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage prospective residents, current residents, and guests in person, by phone, and through electronic communication.
- Conduct community tours and showcase apartment homes and amenities.
- Assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process, from initial inquiry through move-in.
- Process rental applications, lease renewals, and related documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Respond to resident questions, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Support resident retention through outstanding customer service and community engagement.
- Maintain organized and accurate resident files, records, and leasing documentation.
- Inspect community appearance and coordinate with maintenance staff to maintain high standards.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and outreach efforts to support occupancy goals.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, company policies, and applicable laws.
- Promote a positive, welcoming, and inclusive community environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
