About The Position

We are seeking a Leasing Administrator to support leasing, sales, and administrative operations at a large, high-occupancy residential apartment community in Bellport, NY. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with residents, and supporting leasing efforts through organization, communication, and attention to detail. The community consists of 795 units with approximately 96% occupancy, and you will work as part of a collaborative onsite team of about 10 employees.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in leasing, property management, or a related residential real estate role
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly demeanor
  • Ability to answer phones and manage multiple communication channels
  • Solid computer and data entry skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Availability to work evenings or weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist prospective residents, providing detailed information about available units, pricing, lease terms, and community amenities
  • Conduct professional property tours and highlight features aligned with prospect needs
  • Prepare, explain, and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Follow up with prospects to support leasing goals and promote available units
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits
  • Answer phones and direct calls or messages to appropriate team members
  • Address resident questions and concerns to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of service requests
  • Process rental applications, verify references, and conduct credit and background checks
  • Maintain accurate records for leases, renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and occupancy reports
  • Perform data entry and general administrative tasks using property management software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Support daily leasing office operations to ensure a welcoming and organized environment
