About The Position

CapeTalent is seeking a remote, hands-on Learning Operations Specialist for an eight-month contract supporting a FinTech enterprise learning client. The role will improve content operations across an internal content management system (CMS), Docebo learning management system (LMS), and spreadsheets while a permanent automated sync is being developed. The specialist will audit and de-duplicate the catalog, reconcile CMS and LMS records, maintain content governance, and map courses and learning plans to the organization’s skills taxonomy. The position also supports continuing-education compliance and reporting, triages proposed skills for expert validation, and operates performance-based gating pilots. Day-to-day LMS helpdesk administration, including ticket queues and user provisioning, is handled by another role and is not included. This is a 1099/C2C-only contract for candidates based in the United States, starting in November 2026, at 40 hours per week during standard U.S. business hours. The contract is expected to last eight months, with a strong likelihood of extension. Compensation is $40–$45 per hour. A laptop is provided, and the work involves heavy Slack collaboration.

Requirements

  • Hands-on administration experience with an enterprise LMS such as Docebo, and/or a content or learning management system; content and catalog administration is the focus.
  • Experience tagging content to a skills or competency taxonomy.
  • Contact-center operations experience paired with learning and development experience, such as quality, coaching, nesting, or workforce planning alongside training design.
  • Experience with Jira or a similar ticket queue.
  • Comfort defining success metrics and supporting pilots or A/B tests with analytics or data science partners.
  • Comfort with high-volume, detail-heavy reconciliation work, comparing systems, identifying discrepancies, and correcting records accurately at scale.
  • Strong documentation habits.
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Available for 40 hours per week during standard U.S. business hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with continuing-education compliance requirements such as NASBA or IRS requirements, or experience in a similarly regulated content environment.
  • Experience with content audits, catalog cleanup, or data-quality projects.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory and de-duplicate content across the CMS, LMS, and spreadsheets; identify outdated, duplicate, or broken records using available usage, enrollment, completion, and compliance signals.
  • Work toward a single deduplicated content inventory and maintain it after onboarding.
  • Help establish and operate ongoing content governance processes so content remains current.
  • Support the CMS-first rule: ensure changes are made in the CMS before they are reflected in the LMS, and maintain correct business-unit tagging for search.
  • Tag courses and learning plans to the skills taxonomy at the module level, advancing skills-tag coverage across the catalog.
  • Reconcile CMS and LMS course and module records where automated synchronization is not yet available, correcting mismatches manually and maintaining the CMS as the source of truth.
  • Keep course and module durations current.
  • Review and triage proposed skills from the taxonomy tool, routing each to the appropriate subject-matter expert for validation before inclusion in the governed taxonomy.
  • Support continuing-education compliance audits, including content aligned with NASBA and IRS requirements, and help resolve issues affecting downstream reporting.
  • Operate performance-based gating pilots for contact-center roles, coordinating with operations leaders and subject-matter experts; track assessment and nesting cohorts, collect quality and first-resolution data, and report results to the gating lead and data science partners.
  • Work toward the stated milestones: a published content governance policy by November 30, active courses mapped to the skills taxonomy by January 31, 2027, a fully governed content pipeline by January 31, and finance-approved designs for gating experiments by the end of January.
