About The Position

As the Learning Design Senior Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the creation of Best Buy enterprise learning solutions that drive measurable business impact. You will focus on the development of learning experiences that align to the needs of employees, customers, and business priorities, driving adoption, behavior change, and performance outcomes. A successful candidate will have experience in adult learning theory, project management, and developing multi-modal content (eLearning, presentations, job aids, onboarding, and performance support). In this role, you'll primarily work virtually from home or another non Best Buy location. However, you must live within a drivable distance to our corporate campus in Richfield, Minnesota. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team, and the recruiter or hiring manager will provide additional details during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions and content in a corporate or enterprise environment, from needs analysis through final delivery
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, including visual storytelling, slide design, information layout, and creation of polished learner-facing materials
  • Proficiency with course authoring and digital learning tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Captivate, Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Degree, certification, or structured education in adult learning theory, instructional design, or related fields
  • Intermediate proficiency with audio, video, and digital media development tools such as Audacity, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to support content development, personalization, research, and workflow efficiency
  • Prior experience in a large, complex organization and/or retail environment

  • Manage multiple learning projects, priorities, and expectations through effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, interpersonal skills, and effective use of workflow technology.
  • Drive evidence-informed, high-quality design of learning experiences and performance solutions aligned to audience needs and business objectives, with defined measures of success.
  • Track and apply emerging design methodologies, tools, and modalities to innovate solutions and maintain alignment with industry-leading practices.
  • Identify modalities that prioritize the learner experience while ensuring effective outcomes.
  • Leverage critical thinking and design expertise to influence and align key stakeholders on design strategies.
  • Maintain adaptability through learning agility, a growth mindset, and positive attitude.
