About The Position

HUB International is seeking a Learning Design Manager for their Technology & Operations department. This role involves leading a team of learning designers to create comprehensive learning strategies for technology implementations. The manager will apply adult learning principles to develop multi-modal learning solutions, including e-learning, instructor-led training, microlearning, and performance support tools, with a focus on immersive experiences. The position requires establishing processes to evaluate training effectiveness, managing a portfolio of learning projects, implementing agile methodologies, and overseeing LMS administration. The manager will partner with business leaders to understand needs, present strategies, and demonstrate learning ROI through data analytics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing a team
  • 7+ years progressive experience in instructional design and adult learning theory with 3+ years in leadership
  • Proven track record developing training programs for successful large-scale technology transformations in complex organizations.
  • Deep expertise in instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Agile) and adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms (Cornerstone), authoring tools (Articulate, Adobe, Camtasia, Canva), virtual meeting technologies (MS Teams, Zoom), and learning analytics.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to accelerate workflows, enhance decision-making, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Strong project management skills
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of learning designers across a portfolio of initiatives, fostering a culture of user-first thinking.
  • Build team capabilities in instructional design principles and emerging learning technologies.
  • Design comprehensive learning strategies for technology implementations, applying adult learning principles to create multi-modal solutions including e-learning, instructor-led training, microlearning, and performance support tools, seeking ways to create immersive experiences using simulation and scenario-based training.
  • Establish and manage processes to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Manage a portfolio of ~20 concurrent learning projects ensuring quality, user-focused, and on-time delivery.
  • Implement agile methodologies, monitor risks, and coordinate with Change Enablement team on integrated initiatives.
  • Oversee LMS administration for Technology & Operations.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand learning and business needs, present strategies to leadership, and demonstrate learning ROI through data analytics and performance metrics.
