About The Position

Develops and delivers Epic training and related applications for business operations, including patient access and revenue cycle. Provides educational expertise, systems knowledge, and workflow knowledge to ensure staff competency in business application workflows of the electronic medical record and other organizational technology. Delivers ongoing training programs for new hires and system changes or upgrades. Consults and collaborates with stakeholders to develop learning solutions and maintain curriculum and tools that meet employees’ educational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; equivalent experience may substitute for the education requirement.
• At least two years of combined experience in training, leading, and coaching others.
• Must earn proficiency or certification in an Epic business application within the first year of employment.
• In-depth knowledge and application of electronic medical record functionality for business-related workflows.
• Effective facilitation skills to create a learning environment that applies adult learning theories and supports learning transfer.
• Thorough knowledge of instructional design practices for analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to establish collaborative relationships across stakeholder levels.
• Highly flexible and self-directed, with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Effective consulting skills to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• At least two years of Epic user experience with a relevant business application.
• Experience training Epic’s suite of business applications.

Responsibilities

• Leads the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions for systems and process training.
• Facilitates classroom training on business workflows in the electronic medical record and related systems for new employees and for system changes or upgrades.
• Consults with stakeholders to determine appropriate learning solutions for project-based work.
• Collaborates with cross-functional experts to integrate relevant workflows, technologies, and standards of practice.
• Maintains training curriculum through regular staff observations, Epic documentation, and coordination with key stakeholders and analysts.
• Leads the training workstream on project teams to deliver effective learning solutions and integration for onboarding programs.
• Identifies ways to improve work processes and customer satisfaction, makes recommendations to a supervisor, and implements and monitors results as appropriate.
• Keeps abreast of developments and trends in the field through professional learning and activities, and integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines; develops effective internal controls to promote compliance and seeks advice as needed.
