About The Position

Triple-S Steel is seeking an experienced, proactive Warehouse Leadman to oversee daily warehouse operations, support efficient inventory management, and lead warehouse associates. The role helps maintain smooth operations, improve processes, and support the team. The successful candidate will bring leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and an understanding of warehouse management systems and safety protocols. This is a 2nd-shift position.

Requirements

Ability to correctly read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine assignments and material or equipment needs.
Ability to safely meet or exceed company-established minimum productivity levels.
Ability to plan and organize work independently with minimal direct supervision, and to work alone or as part of a team.
Ability to develop a good working knowledge of products and inventory control techniques and procedures.
Ability to maintain ongoing interdepartmental communication related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
May be required to demonstrate strong customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

Follow Triple-S safe work methods and immediately advise a supervisor of unsafe conditions.
Safely move steel between storage or production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using manual handling, forklifts, overhead cranes, or other equipment.
Attach slings, hooks, or other lifting devices, guide loads, and climb onto vehicles to tie down or release loaded material.
Train new team members on will calls, delivering orders, checking stock, and using computers.
Walk through the warehouse in the morning to check that material is safe on racks and exit doors are not blocked.
Help check and pull will calls and deliver orders.
Perform daily equipment inspections.
