About The Position

Mustang Cat is hiring a Leadership Foundations Program Associate for its Leadership Foundations Program, an 18–24 month leadership development program intended to prepare future organizational leaders. The program combines hands-on operational experience, professional coaching, mentorship, coursework, and rotational assignments across business divisions, including Power Systems, Service, Rental Services, SITECH, Parts, and Sales Administration. Participants work alongside experienced leaders to develop operational knowledge, leadership capabilities, and business acumen in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The position provides experience with Mustang Cat’s business, products, and customers, along with opportunities to support projects and process-improvement initiatives, build relationships with employees, leaders, and customers, and present development progress and project outcomes. Program participants are expected to maintain a focus on safety, teamwork, customer experience, and operational excellence. Mustang Cat describes itself as a Caterpillar dealer serving Southeast Texas across construction, oil and gas, power generation, marine, manufacturing, rental, and industrial industries.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Interest in the heavy equipment, construction equipment, industrial power, or equipment rental industries.
Previous leadership, internship, project management, or team-based experience.
Experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or technical environments.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Gain an operational understanding of Mustang Cat’s business, product lines, and customers.
Participate in rotational assignments across multiple departments and business units.
Complete daily responsibilities in assigned operational areas.
Develop leadership competencies through structured coursework, mentoring, and coaching.
Receive one-on-one coaching and mentorship from experienced Mustang Cat leaders.
Build relationships with employees, leadership teams, and customers.
Participate in lunch-and-learn sessions led by Mustang executive leadership.
Support projects and process-improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Deliver professional presentations about development progress, project successes, and lessons learned.
Collaborate with fellow program participants and departmental teams to achieve operational goals.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, teamwork, customer experience, and operational excellence.
