About The Position

This role involves assisting with the development of leadership resources, including guides, toolkits, workshops, learning modules, and educational content. The position also requires promoting BCLS through campus and community events, classroom presentations, and student organization outreach. Additionally, the role includes gathering social media content and digital communications, assisting with graphics and videos, and providing logistical support for events and programs. Tracking outreach activities, engagement metrics, and program participation is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Current University of Florida student.
  • Commit to working 12.5 hours per week.
  • Commit to at least two semesters in the role.
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have experience or interest in leadership development, communications, outreach, or student engagement.
  • Federal Work Study students are strongly encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with public speaking, presentations, or facilitating workshops.
  • Experience with outreach, marketing, graphic design, or digital content creation.
  • Interest in leadership education, student development, or student affairs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of leadership resources, guides, toolkits, workshops, learning modules, and educational content aligned with BCLS leadership competencies for undergraduate student experiences.
  • Promote BCLS during campus and community events, classroom presentations, and student organization outreach.
  • Assist with strategic outreach initiatives to increase awareness and participation in BCLS programs.
  • Gather social media content and digital communications highlighting leadership tips, program opportunities, and student engagement stories.
  • Assist with graphics, videos, and educational posts that make leadership concepts accessible to students.
  • Provide logistical support for workshops, trainings, and outreach activities.
  • Assist with event promotion and participant engagement.
  • Track outreach activities, engagement metrics, and program participation.
  • Support additional projects that advance BCLS goals.

Benefits

  • Expected Salary: $14/hour (increase September 2026 to $15/hour)
