Leadership Development Facilitator About AMA Consulting LLC AMA Consulting LLC is a woman-owned, SBA 8(a)-certified management consulting firm providing organizational effectiveness, program management, workforce development, and professional services to government and public-sector clients. Position Summary AMA Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Leadership Development Facilitator to support a proposed leadership development program. The Facilitator will deliver engaging, practical, and evidence-based leadership development experiences for senior leaders. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience facilitating leadership development, executive education, or organizational development programs for senior leaders and will be skilled at translating leadership concepts into interactive learning experiences applicable to real organizational challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Leadership, Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• Five (5)+ years of experience in leadership development, management development, organizational development, training, or facilitation.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating programs for executives, senior leaders, department heads, or comparable leadership audiences.
• Strong understanding of adult learning and experiential learning principles.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate complex discussions and engage senior-level stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
• Ability to facilitate effectively in both in-person and virtual environments.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Leadership development experience within local government or comparable public-sector environments.
• Experience working with department heads, executives, elected/appointed officials, or senior government leaders.
• Experience with competency-based leadership development, assessments, executive coaching, or individual development planning.
• Relevant facilitation, coaching, leadership development, or assessment certifications.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate leadership development workshops, cohort learning sessions, and applied learning activities for senior-level participants.
• Deliver customized curriculum aligned with identified leadership competencies and organizational priorities.
• Facilitate interactive discussions, exercises, case studies, simulations, peer learning, and other experiential development activities.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment appropriate for department heads and other senior public-sector leaders.
• Help participants translate leadership concepts into practical application within their organizations and teams.
• Facilitate activities addressing change leadership, strategic thinking, collaboration, team development, engagement, and accountability.
• Support applied projects connected to actual organizational priorities and challenges.
• Collaborate with coaches, instructional designers, program leadership, and other project team members to ensure consistency across the leadership development experience.
• Gather participant feedback and observations to support program evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Support in-person, virtual, and hybrid delivery as required.
