About The Position

Join GE Vernova’s Wind Global Machine Head Yaw subsystem team as the hardware owner for mechanical rotating components used in utility-scale wind turbines. The role focuses primarily on hydraulic and passive mechanical braking systems, supporting them throughout their life cycle—from conceptual and detailed design through development, testing, qualification, manufacturing, and installed-fleet support. The engineer drives technical excellence and continuous improvement in component design, analysis, cost, and reliability. The position delivers new product introductions, technology integration, and field issue resolution, with a strong emphasis on quality and reliability validated through physical testing. It designs yaw subsystem components and systems, establishes validation plans, maintains design documentation and standards, and works across engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, suppliers, and field support to resolve issues and improve product quality. The role also advances cost savings, root-cause analysis, and adoption of new technologies, materials, manufacturing methods, and design tools. GE Vernova describes its work environment as offering professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. Relocation assistance is provided. U.S.-based applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and an offer is conditioned on successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable.
