About The Position

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants with over 100 years of experience. This role involves warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and stocking of tires and auto parts using equipment like forklifts and pickers. It also includes inventory control using scanners and assisting with cycle counts. A significant portion of this role (at least 25%) will involve backup driver duties, operating a box truck or semi to make 10-20 deliveries per day, providing customer service, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining delivery logs. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or until work is completed, with mandatory overtime required from September through December. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs, and overtime is required as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record in compliance with the company's driver policy.
  • 1 year of professional driving experience (cube van, box truck or semi).
  • 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience.
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds when working with barrels and industrial/agricultural tires.
  • Ability to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (THC/marijuana not tested).
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one per DOT/FMCSA guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Satisfactory completion of company road test by qualified assessor.
  • Pass a forklift certification test.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and stock tires and auto parts in a warehouse environment using industrial vehicles such as a forklift or picker equipment.
  • Use scanners for inventory control, including finding and putting away tires.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Keep complete and accurate records and logs of all driving and deliveries.
  • Operate a handheld device to ensure all deliveries are fulfilled.
  • Provide outstanding customer service as the company's representative during deliveries.
  • Onboard and train new hires.
  • Support Operation Leaders in guiding team members through assigned tasks.
  • Assist with managing inventory by conducting cycle counts.
  • Responsible for inventory control, including adjustments, returns, and shortages.
  • Assist with e-commerce and will-call orders as needed.
  • Perform other job-related tasks and follow job-related instructions from supervisors, subject to reasonable accommodations.
