Angell West is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to lead their Avian and Exotics Team. The Avian Exotics (A/E) Lead Technician will collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to deliver excellent clinical and customer service. Responsibilities include providing technical support for A/E outpatient and in-patient procedures, assisting with case management of A/E animals, running anesthesia, and communicating with clients and referring veterinarians. The technician will also assist veterinarians in clinic, radiology, surgery, and other hospital areas. This role requires positive interaction with staff and clients, providing technical advice according to hospital policies, and possessing specific knowledge of A/E clinical tests, procedures, protocols, medical terminology, animal handling, anesthesia, and math skills. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for conveying clinical information.
