Target•Minneapolis, MN

About The Position

As a Lead Product Designer on Target’s guest-facing Inspire & Motivate team, you will shape how guests discover, get inspired, and shop across Target’s web, mobile web, and native apps. The team owns discovery experiences such as the Homepage and Category pages and partners closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Product, and Engineering. The role will help shift content presentation from static pages to a dynamic, adaptive model, setting the vision and strategy for how content evolves across Homepage, Category, and beyond. You will design experiences where content is assembled and personalized in real time, model the use of AI in design exploration and prototyping, and establish principles and guardrails that keep experiences on brand, trustworthy, and guest centered. As a Lead on Target UX, you will drive product development and ensure designs align with guest needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. You will guide design work and mentor junior designers, use research and performance data to evolve the system, and promote human-centered practice across UX, Product, and Engineering. The position follows a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day arrangement: work is performed both onsite at the assigned Target HQ Minnesota location and virtually, depending on role, team, and daily tasks. Work duties cannot be performed outside the country of the primary work location unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
