About The Position

Davies Animal Medical Hospital is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Lead Veterinarian to help grow and lead their urgent care service within a large, collaborative hospital. This privately owned, community-focused practice has been serving Yuba City for over 35 years. The role offers autonomy, resources for high-quality medicine, and a supportive team. The Lead Veterinarian will influence medical standards, mentor other veterinarians, and receive leadership training. The hospital is a new, state-of-the-art facility with 16 exam rooms, advanced equipment, and a 6:1 staff-to-doctor ratio, designed to allow veterinarians to focus on patient care.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD and CA License
• Strong urgent care or emergency medicine experience
• Comfortable managing a fast-paced, diverse caseload
• Enjoy surgery and willing to jump in when the team needs you
• Interest in mentoring and developing other veterinarians
• Communicate confidently with clients and team members
• Believe in high-quality, compassionate medicine
• A true team player

Responsibilities

• Help continue to grow the urgent care service
