Lead Traffic Signal Technician
About The Position
The Transportation Department operates and maintains the city’s streets and traffic control devices. The department is split into two divisions: Streets and Traffic. The Traffic Division plans, operates and maintains the transportation systems within the city of Irving in a safe, efficient and proactive manner. Requirements
- Associate degree, or equivalent
- Two years related experience
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a Texas Class A CDL within six months from date of hire.
- Must be available to work any shift and flex hours as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Military training in electronics is desirable.
- Prior supervisory experience beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Installation and maintenance of electrical, electronic, and digital controlled traffic signal devices and lighting systems.
- Perform moderately complex repairs on analog and digital signal equipment.
- Troubleshoot traffic signal control devices and auxiliary equipment, such as communications, detection and surveillance equipment.
