About The Position

Birch Tree Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing Lead Teacher passionate about early childhood education. The position leads classroom learning, collaborates with assistant teachers, and creates a safe, engaging environment that supports children’s growth and development. Birch Tree Academy offers STEM-based early learning focused on hands-on discovery, science, creativity, and exploration in a nurturing environment. The role is full-time and in person in Bothell, Washington, with pay of $25–$28 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of childcare experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must meet Washington State licensing requirements for education and experience.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to nurture and care for young children in a safe, engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging daily lessons and activities aligned with curriculum goals.
• Foster a safe, healthy, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
• Promote multicultural learning and positive classroom behaviors.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Supervise classroom activities, projects, and field trips.
• Partner with teaching staff to create a positive learning experience for every child.
