About The Position

The Lead Toddler Teacher provides daily care and educational experiences for children in a child care center. The role follows licensing guidelines and company standards, observes and assesses children, plans learning activities, communicates with families, completes training on child care and development, and implements the company’s curriculum through engaging experiences. The position requires working indoors or outdoors and participating in physical activity with children.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• At least 6 months of experience leading an early childhood classroom and creating educational lesson plans in a licensed center.
• A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units.
• Ability to meet state requirements for background checks, immunizations, CPR/First Aid, and mandated reporter training.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure daily care of every child in the classroom.
• Observe and assess children and plan for their development.
• Communicate effectively with families.
• Complete training on child care, preschool, and development topics.
• Implement the company’s curriculum and create fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Engage in physical activity with children indoors or outdoors.
