The Lead Therapist serves as the clinical lead on the treatment unit, acting as the designated clinical resource in consultation with a supervisor. This role involves facilitating daily multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings, managing patient assignments, and providing clinical supervision and professional development support to interns and designated clinical staff. The Lead Therapist also plays a key role in performance evaluations, administrative oversight of the unit, and leadership in crisis situations. Additionally, they maintain a reduced clinical caseload, support staff competency development, and assist in the development and implementation of policies and evidence-based practices. The role also includes presenting educational workshops and serving as a content expert.
