Collins Aerospace is seeking a Lead Test Technician for its Phoenix Worldwide Repair team. The role oversees daily operations within the repair cell, supports technicians, and helps meet on-time delivery and turnaround-time requirements while fostering a positive, productive team environment. Work is divided approximately among lead activities (40%), engineering and UWR support (20%), and direct labor (40%). The position is onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, and requires U.S. citizenship because access to information under the program or contract is restricted to U.S. citizens. The technician leads second-shift startup and daily cell operations, plans and prioritizes repair work, monitors work in progress, communicates schedule risks, and coordinates with the Value Stream Manager and cross-functional support teams. The role also performs hands-on testing and troubleshooting of electronic units, helps maintain safety and compliance, supports technician training and onboarding, and communicates shift pass-downs. The schedule is second shift, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with flexibility to start early as needed and to support first shift during planned absences of the Value Stream Manager or first-shift lead. The work is performed primarily onsite and involves static-control and personal protective equipment. The work environment may include products of various weights and sizes, moving equipment, high voltage or current, and chemicals that may emit fumes. Weekend and holiday support may occasionally be needed. Physical demands include vision and color distinction, bending and reaching, extended use of hands for testing and troubleshooting, sitting or standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 pounds unassisted, and transporting product with or without carts.
