About The Position
Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable Lead Technician to oversee day-to-day shop operations and support the service team while performing hands-on repairs. The company provides fleet maintenance and refrigeration solutions for the transportation industry, including system installations, maintenance, and repairs. The position is based at TRS Winter Haven in Winter Haven, Florida. The listed hourly pay range is $39.00–$41.00, with a $2-per-hour shift differential for night shifts and additional pay for ASE certifications. The Lead Technician serves as the go-to expert on the shift, distributing workloads, supervising technicians, maintaining quality standards, and communicating with customers and team members across shifts. The role works with refrigeration units, trucks, trailers, and auxiliary power units, and includes service calls and inspections.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience as a technician or supervisor in fleet or refrigeration services.
- Must possess a toolbox and required tools.
- Strong electrical and diagnostic skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage shift schedules and distribute workload.
- Supervise technicians and ensure quality standards.
- Communicate with customers and team members across shifts.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration units using OEM software.
- Perform preventive maintenance services, DOT inspections, brake repairs, and general truck and trailer maintenance.
- Handle road service calls and APU repairs.
- Ensure safety procedures and company policies are followed.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
