About The Position

The Lead Teacher at La Petite Academy of Kenosha creates interactive learning experiences and supports children’s social, physical, and intellectual development. The role leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, follows licensing guidelines and company standards, and builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success. The Lead Teacher also mentors fellow Teachers. The position involves engaging with children indoors and outdoors and participating in physical activity with them.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Be able to meet state education requirements and childcare center requirements.
• Be able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, interactive learning experiences and mentor fellow Teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in the class.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote children’s achievement and support the center’s success.
