About The Position

La Petite Academy of Gaithersburg is hiring a Lead Teacher to inspire children to become lifelong learners. The role involves creating fun, interactive learning experiences and mentoring fellow Teachers while promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children. The Lead Teacher leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, follows licensing guidelines and company standards, and builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success. The position requires working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and the childcare center’s requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Mentor fellow Teachers.
