About The Position

The Lead Teacher creates interactive learning experiences, mentors fellow Teachers, and promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in their class. The role leads classroom management and curriculum implementation and requires knowledge of licensing guidelines and company standards. The Lead Teacher also builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success.

The position is with La Petite Academy on Lake Powell Road, part of Learning Care Group, Inc. The company provides childcare and early education programs for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, using a research-based curriculum in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate.
