About The Position
La Petite Academy is hiring a Lead Teacher to support preschool children’s learning and development. The role creates interactive learning experiences, mentors fellow teachers, manages the classroom, implements curriculum, follows licensing guidelines and company standards, and builds relationships with current and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success. The teacher must be able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children. Compensation is based on position, education, and experience. The posting lists a Monday-through-Friday work week.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
- Ability to meet state education requirements and the childcare center’s requirements.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

- Mentor fellow teachers.
- Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children.
- Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
